Manufacturing Technician, Jerusalem Site

Primary objectives of the position: Perform all required manufacturing activities, including upstream and downstream processing as well as fill and finish activities, within the company’s clean rooms under good manufacturing practices. This position will assist in building the manufacturing team, and encompasses opportunity for personal and professional development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Manufacture all company’s products in compliance with cGMP

·         Fill the drug product into vials/ syringes under aseptic manufacturing

·         Operate, clean and maintain all production related equipment and the production area

·         Ensure that manufactured batches contain the proper ingredients and quantities

·         Ensure that manufacturing instructions are followed precisely

·         Report on any deviation from written instructions

·         Assist with in-process testing to make sure that batches meet product specifications

·         Document all production activities in appropriate logs, forms, reports, and databases, and support SOP writing and updates.

·         Participate in scheduled meetings and report routinely to direct manager

Education:

Relevant industrial experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred. Academic degree or Practical Engineer certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.

 

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, chemical, or other manufacturing environments.

 

Skills:

·         Technical skills- Comprehensive understanding of upstream/ downstream/ fill & finish production processes in bulk biological manufacturing (bulk drug substance), specifically related to purification techniques like chromatography and ultra-filtration processes.

·         Experience in working in a controlled, classified environment, under cGMP requirements.

·         Experience in filling vials/ syringes as a primary or secondary operator under aseptic conditions- an advantage

·         Ability to operate standard non-production equipment such as Autoclaves and Parts Washers - an advantage

·         Experience in leading teams and/or projects- an advantage

·         Experience in working with or understanding of Single Use Technology- an advantage.

·         Ability to tackle technical problems encountered during manufacturing.

·         Communication and interpersonal skills- Good written and verbal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and be able to put forth views both up and down the hierarchy.

·         Problem-solving abilities.

·         Team player- Candidate should be a good team player both inter- and intra-departmental.

·         Work under pressure- Should have the ability to work transparently while working with tight timelines.

·         Attention to detail and accuracy.

Languages: (speaking, writing, and reading): Ability to communicate and follow procedures in Hebrew and/or English

Computer literacy: MS Office is a must
