Primary Objectives of the Position
The Manufacturing Support Technician is responsible for supporting GMP manufacturing operations through the cleaning and maintenance of cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled environments, as well as performing environmental monitoring activities. This role is ideal for candidates seeking their first opportunity in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and offers significant potential for professional growth into manufacturing, process development, and other operational functions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine and periodic cleaning and sanitization of GMP cleanrooms, laboratories, equipment, and controlled production areas in accordance with approved procedures.
Execute environmental monitoring activities, including air, surface, and personnel sampling, according to GMP requirements.
Execute WFI sampling in accordance with written instructions.
Prepare, handle, and document cleaning and disinfectant solutions as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in logs, forms, reports, and electronic systems.
Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of manufacturing and laboratory areas and report deviations or maintenance requirements as needed.
· Ensure all activities are accurately documented and performed in compliance with cGMP requirements, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Support investigations related to environmental monitoring excursions and deviations when required.
Participate in GMP training, team meetings, and routine communication with management.
Education
· Formal academic education is not required. Relevant industrial, military, technical, laboratory, or cleanroom experience is an advantage.
Experience
Previous experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, laboratory, or cleanroom environment – an advantage.
